Alumni Back Home for Activity of School of Law Alumni Association

As a celebration of International Women’s Day, “women helping women”, there was a screening of a human trafficking documentary “the Pink Room” conducted on campus on 6 March 2016. This event, organised by the Hong Kong Federation of Women Lawyers and co-organised by the School of Law of the City University of Hong Kong (CityU) and The Alumni Association of the School of Law of CityU and the Centre for Comparative and Public Law of the University of Hong Kong,  and supported by many, had over 130 attendees including Hong Kong immigration officers in charge of human trafficking work, CityU alumni in particular law ones.

Aside from the screening, there was a sharing from speakers who dedicated much of their lives fighting this issue and performances from Groundworks which raise awareness on it. No matter how big or small, the speaker encouraged people can go spread the word and make a difference!
