Course Add/Drop

  • Students are required to finalize their study plans by the end of the add/drop period (Please refer to the Academic Calendar. Normally, it is set as the first day of the 2nd teaching week).

  • During the add/drop period, most of the course can be added or dropped online. The course registration website will provide you with more details.

  • Exchange students can add/drop courses online for web-enabled courses. For non web-enabled courses or other courses with registration restrictions, you can submit applications for add/drop of courses via an electronic form available in AIMS. You may refer to "Course Registration" for relevant details.

You are advised that if you drop any pre-registered courses, you may not able to add the course(s) back online due to registration restrictions. Instead, you have to submit an electronic form in AIMS for making the request, whether you can add back the course(s) will then be subject to the availability of places.  Please contact your exchange coordinator for advice either before or after arrival at the University if necessary.

  • Visiting Students should have finalized their study plan at the time they accept the offer. The normal course add/drop procedures for regular students are not applicable to visiting students.
