1. Capillary Electrophoresis System, MDQ (Beckman Coulter P/ACE)
BCH equipped with the Beckman P/ACE MDQ CE System with Diode Array detector from 90 - 600 nm and 200, 214, 254, 280 nm standard filter. The P/ACE Series are automated, programmable capillary electrophoresis systems designed to perform fast separations from complex samples. Separations occur in a capillary which is housed in an interchangeable cartridge with circulating liquid coolant for efficient temperature control. This finely regulated temperature control allows the use of high-ionic-strength buffers and large-bore capillaries necessary for analyzing difficult samples

There are totally 21 gas chromatographs in BCH laboratory. They are equipped
with various detectors for analysis of different kind of analytes, and some are
interfaced directly with mass spectrometer for supplicated identification of
unknown samples.

6. High Temperature Gel Permeation Chromatograph (Varian PL-GPC 220)
GPC/ SEC is the technique of choice for rapid and reliable characterization of polymer molecular weight and molecular weight distribution. This PL-GPC 220 integrated GPC/SEC system, coupled with RI, UV and Viscosity detectors, is designed to run all polymer, solvent and temperature combinations, with full automation, from 30 to 220oC.

9. Flow Cytometer (BD FACS Calibur)
It is a fixed optic type flow cytometer equips with argon ion (488nm) and red-diode (633nm) laser for simultaneous 6-prameters analysis of single cells. Applications of flow cytometer include DNA analysis, Apoptosis, immunophenotyping, cell pigment analysis and cell viability analysis.

10. Flow Injection Analyzer (Lachat QuikChem 8500)
The FIA components consist of auto sampler, reagent pump, system unit, a windows compatible computer with Omnion software and a printer. Four channels are configured to analyze with photometric detection. The system is ideal for the measurement of ammonia, nitrate/nitrite, phosphate, Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen (TKN), Total Phosphate (TP), and Formaldehyde in water, brackish water, and soil and food sample.
