Prof Hoi-Lun Kwong obtained his BSc degree from the University of Hong Kong in 1987 and his MPhil with Prof C M Che from the same University in 1989. He then moved to the United States and obtained his PhD from MIT in 1993. In the same year he joined the Harvard University as a post-doctoral fellow. He has been teaching at City University of Hong Kong since 1994. His expertise lies in Organic and Inorganic Chemistry, Asymmetric Synthesis and Catalysis, and Reaction Mechanisms.
