Outstanding achievements of staff and students in CLASS honoured

The CLASS Awards Day was successfully held on 4 May 2016. Congratulations to all the awardees on their outstanding achievements. Detailed information of the winning projects is available on the CLASS Awards Day website. A photo album capturing the happy moments at the workshop, exhibition and ceremony of the event is now available at http://www.cityu.edu.hk/class/cad/photo.aspx. During the workshop, winners of the Excellence in Knowledge Transfer Award, the New Researcher Award and the Teaching Innovation Award, Dr Yanto CHANDRA, Dr ZHANG Xiaoling and Dr Justin ROBERTSON, shared with the participants their innovative approaches in knowledge transfer, research and teaching. Their presentations were videotaped and made available on the event website.

The award-winning projects were displayed at the exhibition. The ceremony presented a total of 11 awards in four categories. The awards were presented by Professor Way Kuo, University President, Professor Arthur Ellis, Provost, Professor Lu Jian, Vice-President (Research and Technology), Professor Horace Ip Ho-shing, Vice-President (Student Affairs), Professor Linda Li Che-lan, Associate Provost (Strategic Planning), Professor Cheng Shuk Han, Director of Office of Education Development and Gateway Education, and Mr David Ai Chuan, Director of Knowledge Transfer Office. Professor Matthew Lee Kwok-on, Vice-President (Development and External Relations), Professor Paul Lam Kwan-sing, Chief-of-Staff, and staff and faculty within CityU and from other institutions also attended the event.
The College has lined up a series of radio interviews for our awardees to share their exemplary work with the general public. The interviews will be broadcasted on a radio segment entitled「今朝城大事」on Metro Broadcast (Channel FM99.7) from 9 May to 6 June. Please refer to the broadcasting schedule below and stay tuned!
