Why Nuclear Energy and is it Safe?

Background In order to Keep global average temperature increase well below 2°C, as agreed in the Paris Agreement, the Hong Kong SAR Government is required to reduce the carbon intensity by 65%-70% by 2030 from 2005 levels.  For meeting such a tough target, nuclear power is a viable choice.
Objective(s) The talk will discuss whether nuclear power is a viable choice for combating climate change and meeting the tough carbon emission reduction target by 2030+.
