About CSF

Objectives

The Campus Sustainability Fund (CSF) supports projects that contribute to the University’s commitment to integrate sustainability into its teaching, research, governance and campus operations through:

  • Educating the campus community on the nature of sustainability challenges;
  • Researching solutions to sustainability challenges;
  • Modelling good sustainability practices by operating the campus with minimal resource consumption and waste; and
  • Collaborating with the government, private sector, NGOs and other community stakeholders to tackle these sustainability challenges.

Projects should seek to transform processes and/or engage the campus community with a view to changing attitudes and behaviours that will result in long-term impact on campus sustainability outcomes. The outputs of projects may include reports, artistic works, multi-media materials and demonstration structures, as well as other forms as appropriate.

CSF Projects

Projects should seek to transform processes and/or engage the campus community with a view to changing attitudes and behaviours that will result in long-term impact on campus sustainability outcomes. The outputs of projects may include reports, artistic works, multi-media materials and demonstration structures, as well as other forms as appropriate.

CSF is open for projects normally in one-year duration addressing the CSF’s objectives, which are holistically inclusive of the education, environment, social and economic dimensions of sustainability. In particular, sustainability projects spanning disciplines and supporting collaborative work within or outside the CityU community are highly encouraged. Existing projects, which demonstrate long-term commitment and impact on sustainability, may receive more than one-year support.
