DEC Symposium

What

Under the Discovery-enriched Curriculum (DEC),City University of Hong Kong (CityU) students have the chance to make an original discovery through their 4-year university study at CityU. The DEC reinvents the undergraduate experience and redefines the teaching-research nexus which is the blue print of the University’s Strategic Plan 2015-2020 and Academic Development Proposal 2016-2019.

A team of dedicated faculty and staff at CityU has received the 2017 Team Award for Teaching Excellence from the University Grants Committee (UGC) for the signature DEC. The DEC constitutes a new paradigm for bringing together research, education, interdisciplinarity, entrepreneurship and action for the public good.
