ATTITUDE
B1
The course will examine the behaviour of the consumer, and his relationship with society, from the economic and legal perspective. As everybody has experience as a consumer, the course will provide an excellent and convenient vehicle to lead the student to examine issues of economics and law, to which every consumer is subject, but of which he may not be consciously aware. The course therefore starts with the known, and leads the student to explore and discover the unknown. Every time the student engages in a consumer transaction, he will have an opportunity to reflect upon the economic and legal meaning of that transaction. Building from this constructivism and habit of self-reflection, it is hoped the student will become more intelligent, not only as a consumer who appreciates his rights and consequences of his actions, but also as an educated and enlightened member of society.
