Today, we often hear of these ancient peoples who lived thousands of years ago, and perhaps there are many more to be found. Archaeologists in different parts of the world are working to discover, explain, and figure out who these ancient peoples were.

These ancient groups are not very remote from us. Indeed, they are rather close—look at your calendar, which is traceable back to that of the Mesopotamians; or look at your coins, which copy the form established by the Greeks and Romans. The lectures and tutorials navigate the explorations of different archaeological peoples, leading to the arguable understanding about what we may call world civilizations.
