Swap Fair 2013

A group of Environmental Policy Studies Students has successfully organized the first Swap Fair in CityU on 4 Mar 2013. It is estimated that there are more than 70 students join the Swap Fair. CityU Green connection supports these students to initiative their own projects, so as to foster the sustainability within the campus.

For this swap fair event, EPS students collected the unwanted stuffs from students 2 weeks before, and selected the materials for the swap fair.

Based on the Swap Fair organizers, they want to raise students??awareness on their shopping habits, and reduce the over-consumption problem in Hong Kong.

There are books, mugs, bags, and many useful materials offer for swappers, and they are free to bring them back from home. With the maximization of the utility of each unwanted items, no stuffs have been sent it to the landfill but save it from CityU swappers. All leave over unwanted stuffs have been sent it to The Salvation Army.

We received a lot of positive feedbacks from the Swap Fair, many students hope there would be more Swap Fairs inside the campus.
