Mind Your Environmental Footprint- CityU Ideas for Recycling Competition

25 March, The Mind Your Environmental Footprint- CityU Ideas for Recycling Competition is a project funded by Campus Sustainability Fun of the Provost's office. The Competition intends to enhance the participation on waste recycling on campus. By 23 March, we have received 30 submissions from students among which, 12 of them were invited to present their ideas to our selection panel (Dr Paul Shin from Department of Biology and Chemistry, Ms Shirley Ng from CDFO and Ms Roslyn Li from SDS)
Based on the criteria (Environmental Impact, Practicality, Creativity, Overall outcome), the following proposals stood out and won competition.

Best winner idea:

-Resign prototypes of the three recycling bins; run DIY workshop on change of wastes to arts PDF File

Runner up ideas:

-Design and fabricate recycling bins in classroom PDF File
-Relocation of recycling bins, Screen saver competition PDF File
-Relocation of recycling bins, data on recyclables collected at recycling bin corner PDF File
Best winner won $3,000 cash prize and runner ups won $1,000 cash prize. All the winners will make a prototype of their product on campus. We look forward to seeing them on campus too.
