| Professor Gregory Lee, the founding Director of the Advanced Institute, left the Institute and City University on 31 March 2012. He has returned to Lyon to lead a major project involving a Sino-French research and culture platform. He will be in charge of setting up a new museum and research exchange programme based on the renowned Institut franco-chinois (Sino-French institute) which existed in Lyon between 1921 and 1946, and whose graduates had a major impact on the intellectual, cultural and political institutions of modern China.
