Associate Professor/Assistant Professor (Political Economy) in the Department of Public Policy [Ref. C/208/09]

Duties

Be an active researcher, dedicated to university teaching and supervision of students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including Bachelor's, Master's and PhD degrees. The appointees are also required to undertake administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements

A PhD in Social Science related disciplines, with teaching experience and strong evidence of research potential. Preference will be given to candidates specializing in the areas of politics of state regulation, varieties of capitalism and global political economy. For appointment at Associate Professor level, a substantial track record of published research in internationally recognized outlets is expected.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual performance. Excellent fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and relocation assistance (where applicable). Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
