The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHASS) aims to contribute to social development, good governance and quality of life in Hong Kong and the region. The College is committed to the advancement of knowledge and the promotion of professional excellence in the humanities and social sciences through teaching, research and applied work.
CHASS programmes are designed to meet Hong Kong society's rising demand for policy planners, urban managers, public administrators, human service practitioners, language educators, corporate communicators, and professionals in the fields of media and communication. The programmes are broad-based, multidisciplinary and professionally oriented.
The College has a robust research culture and a broad research agenda focusing on language, culture, communications, society, government, public administration, social policy, and human service intervention.
