The 3rd Workshop on Industrial Applications

  1. Objective
  2. This workshop aims to stimulate collaboration between industry and universities. Industry representatives will present problems on the first day of the workshop followed by small group discussion on the next three days. The result will then be presented on the final day.

This event will encourage the greater use of mathematical modeling and analysis in industry and provide a unique opportunity for academic researchers to be exposed to industrial problems.

  19. Useful Information
  20. Transportation

Hong Kong's airport is one of the busiest in Asia and it is served by most major international airlines. We recommend early booking, both to secure flights at the time of your choosing and do so at reasonable price.

How to get to City University of Hong Kong

By Airport Express and Mass Transit Railway (MTR):
You can ride on the Airport Express Line from the Airport Station to Tsing Yi Station, and then change to MTR from Tsing Yi Station to Kowloon Tong, where the University is located. The single journey fare of an adult from the Airport Station to Tsing Yi Station is HK$60 and from Tsing Yi Station to Kowloon Tong Station, HK$7.5. Routes and fares can be found at http://www.mtr.com.hk.

    By MTR:
Get off at Kowloon Tong station. Follow the signs to City University (Exit C2), which leads to the Festival Walk shopping centre. Go up to Level LG1 and find the escalator next to Shop LG1-10, which will take you to one end of the CityU underpass.
If you take the train that goes directly to Hong Kong from mainland China, you will get off first at the Hung Hum Station. You can then change to the MTR and get off at the Kowloon Tong Station for CityU. If you are coming from the direction of Lo Wu, a concrete bridge will take you into the Festival Walk shopping centre.

    By Taxi:
Ask the taxi driver to take you to City University of Hong Kong.
It may be helpful to give the Taxi Driver the Address of City University in Chinese.
