The Department of Public and Social Administration (SA) is the first in Hong Kong to offer tailor-made programmes in policy studies and administration.  SA provides a combination of theoretical and applied studies to prepare students for a wide range of career opportunities in administration and management in Hong Kong.

SA is strongly committed to teaching and research excellence and proud of its outstanding undergraduate, taught postgraduate and research degrees programmes.  At present, SA offers three Bachelor’s programmes and two Master’s programmes.  Apart from taught programmes, SA also provides opportunities for research postgraduate studies in both MPhil and PhD degrees.

At all levels, SA’s aim is to equip students with the ability to make the most of both their careers and their lives.  The Department seeks to educate in the broadest sense, providing students with information, skills and analytical abilities for the world of work and for the world beyond work.

Classroom learning is just part of university life.  SA is keen to provide apt opportunities for students to enrich their university lives through activities such as international exchange, internships, overseas study tours, etc.
