| Brief Description |
 The BSocSc (Hons) in Policy Studies and Administration programme (BSocSc PSA) has been restructured from BA (Hons) in Public and Social Administration with greater emphasis on broad social science skills and specific areas of specialism. The programme aims at providing a comprehensive education in policy studies and administration, and at linking general themes to the Hong Kong environment with reference to developments in China and the global scene. The programme also aims to produce graduates who can meet the manpower needs of a wide range of public and private sector employers in administrative, management and policy analysis positions.
It is offered in a full-time mode which normally covers three years of study. |

| Career Prospects |
| Graduates find employment in both the public and private sectors, for instance, Administrative Officers, Executive Officers, Trade Officers, and Police Inspectors in the civil service, and administrators in voluntary agencies and private business. Graduates can pursue further studies in local and overseas institutions in related fields. |

| Special Admission Scheme for Current AD/HD Graduates |
City University of Hong Kong introduced the Special Admissions Scheme (SAS) in 2000 to provide further study opportunities for students with associate degree/higher diploma qualifications. The Scheme is available to current-year graduates of an associate degree or a higher diploma programme recognized by the University.
A key feature of the Special Admissions Scheme is the award of transfer credits, in recognition of prior studies, upon admission. Successful applicants who are offered 30 or more transfer credits will be admitted to the senior year; otherwise, they will be admitted to the first year of study.
In the Department, our government-funded programme of Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) in Policy Studies and Administration is accepting applications under the Special Admissions Scheme.
