Prof. Wei WU won the Award of Excellent Young Scientists Fund from National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) for 2023

We are proud to announce that Professor Wei WU, Associate Professor of School of Energy and Environment, has been awarded the Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Hong Kong and Macau) by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) [2023年度國家自然科學基金優秀青年科學基金項目 (港澳)] for 2023.

The Excellent Young Scientists Fund is highly competitive and is granted annually to support young scientists with outstanding achievements in basic research to conduct innovative research in their areas of interest and expertise.

The Excellent Young Scientists Fund has supported young male scientists under the age of 38 and female scientists under the age of 40 in Hong Kong and Macau since 2019. 25 awards are granted in Hong Kong and Macau each year, empowering promising researchers to make significant contributions to their fields.

Each awardee will receive funding of RMB 2 million to support their scientific research project. With this funding support, Professor Wu will embark on a project entitled “Building Energy Efficiency and Efficient Flexible Heat Pump”.
