Prof. Wei WU’s student Zhixiong DING received the Distinguished PhD Student Award of Energy and Built Environment

Congratulations to Mr. Zhixiong DING, PhD student of Prof. Wei WU, Associate Professor, School of Energy and Environment (SEE), for receiving the Distinguished PhD Student Award under the Excellent Young Researcher Award category of Energy and Built Environment at the third International Chinese Conference on Energy and Built Environment. Zhixiong’s research focuses on absorption-based thermochemical energy storage. Specifically, his research output contributes to higher energy storage efficiency, higher energy storage density, and lower charging temperature, which are of great significance for solar energy utilization towards carbon neutrality.

The third International Chinese Conference on Energy and Built Environment has more than 1,400 participants from all over the world. It is an international platform for global Chinese scholars with impacts on the energy and built environment community. Zhixiong was selected as one of the three winners of the Distinguished PhD Student Award after strict peer reviews and competitive onsite interviews.
