SEE Student Chapter successfully organized the Beach Cleaning Event partnering with the Hong Kong Cleanup

The beach cleaning event at Shek O Beach was successfully held on 14 April 2024. SEE Student Chapter partnered with the Hong Kong Cleanup and gathered a group of participants from the School of Energy and Environment (SEE) to participate in this meaningful event. The team from SEE including Prof. Edwin TSO, Associate Professor and the advisor of SEE Student Chapter; SEE staff, alumni, postgraduate and undergraduate students, with over 40 people joining this event.

The Hong Kong Cleanup has been coordinating free community cleanups and other educational activities in Hong Kong, they dedicated to providing workable solutions in keeping our beautiful coastal areas, country parks and city streets safe, clean and trash free.

This beach cleaning event is not only a green activity that could enable all of us to make contribution towards the preservation of Hong Kong's marine environment, but also raise awareness on the importance of protecting our environment and invaluable natural resources.
