Visit to Hong Kong Observatory on 18 November 2014

Students taking the courses, GE1301 Climate Change and Extreme Weather and SEE5201 Atmospheric and Climate Science, offered by the School participated in the visit to the Hong Kong Observatory on 18 November 2014 (Tuesday).

During the visit, the weather observations were demonstrated by the guides using the meteorological instruments while the formulation and dissemination of weather forecasts to the public with the latest technology were covered.  Many students found the visit interesting and showed great interest especially in the part of dissemination of weather forecasts to the public through TV broadcasting.
