Energy Discipline was rolled out a few years ago. There is a steady trend of increasing students interested in Energy Discipline. In response to the needs from the industry, AECOM has got the approved Energy Scheme A training in 2023 and started the intake of Energy Scheme trainees. As the largest consultant firm in Hong Kong, AECOM wished to explore the opportunities with the talents graduated from School of Energy and Environment Students. We would also like to explore paths of Energy Discipline in the coming wave of construction industry boom.
Ir. Waye, is the Executive Director of AECOM Asia Company Limited. He graduated as Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering University of Hong Kong and gained a MBA in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is a Chartered Engineer in UK, a Professional Engineer worked in Toronto and a Professional Engineer in California worked in New York. He worked in contractor firm, client office and consultancy practice for most of his career. His engineering work in HK covered projects in HK, Taiwan, Singapore, Philippines, Korea, India and China.
Michael is the training director in AECOM and in charge of the training held by the Building (MEP) Business Line. He steered the application of Energy Scheme A training and obtained the approval from HKIE in 2023. He worked with various discipline leaders in the business line to maintain the other Training Scheme including Mechanical, Building Services, Fire Engineering, Electrical and Electronics disciplines.
