Renmin University of China School of Law is one of the leading law schools in China. It started to offer a Master of Laws (LLM) programme through the City University of Hong Kong in 1995. The programme is a well recognized postgraduate degree and offers an opportunity to acquire a thorough understanding of the operation of the Chinese legal system. It is conducted by a team of instructors drawn from the Renmin University of China.
Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
The LLM is a part-time programme. Classes are held in the evenings and Saturday afternoons. It is expected that students will complete the programme in two and a half years. Students have to complete taught courses and submit a thesis. The language of instruction is Chinese (Putonghua).
The programme has been included in the list of reimbursable courses for Continuing Education Fund purposes.
