My research focuses on modelling and optimising dynamic transport systems. I received my undergraduate education in Hong Kong. My doctoral research on optimal control of dynamic transport networks completed in England received a Gordon Newell Memorial Dissertation Prize in 2008. I am a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA), Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), and Rail Research UK Association (RRUK-A). Before joining CityU, I have held faculty position at University College London in the U.K. (2010-17), and was a postdoctoral researcher at University of California Berkeley under the California PATH program in the U.S. (2007-10).

Potential topics include, but not limited to, integrated road transport systems, metro operations, and dynamic networks.
