Chung Tin is currently an Associate Professor in Department of Biomedical Engineering at City University of Hong Kong. He received his BEng. degree (1st Class) from University of Hong Kong in Mechanical Engineering in 2002. He then moved to the United States and obtained his S.M. and PhD. degrees, both in Mechanical Engineering, from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in 2004 and 2011, respectively. He continues as a postdoctoral associate in MIT until he returned to Hong Kong in 2012. He has been awarded Croucher Foundation Scholarship (HK), American Heart Association Predoctoral Fellowship, and Early Career Award (Research Grant Council, Hong Kong). His research interests include neural prosthetic systems, brain-machine interface, neural computation and sensorimotor learning and control.

    We are looking for highly motivated PhD students with research experience/background in engineering (in particular machine learning, signal processing, system integration and computational neuroscience). and/or neuroscience (in particular electrophysiology and animal behavorial training)

    The minimum English proficiency requirements are:
    a) a minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper-based) or 79 (internet-based); or
    b) a minimum overall band score of 6.5 in IELTS;

    Research Assistant

    We are looking for highly motivated RA with strong background in machine learning, image processing and/or computer vision system.

    Bachelor/Master from an accredited institution from one of the following disciplines: Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Information Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science. Applicants must have strong experience in programming in related area of computer vision and machine learning. Candidates experienced in hardware development board/embedded system are prefereed. Candidates should be highly self-driven, innovative, and have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
