CityU's commitment to sustainability reaches beyond the campus and Hong Kong. Below are a few examples of our collaboration.
The Hong Kong Sustainable Campus Consortium (HKSCC) was established in May 2010 with academic and non-academic staff members from eight publicly-funded universities.
CityU is member of Business Environment Council (BEC), an charitable organisation offers sustainable solutions and professional services enabling environment protection. CityU staff/students/alumnus may register BEC events with their CityU email account and quote "CityU staff/student/alumni" to receive "Affiliate Member Discount".
CityU has joined as an Innovation Partner of the Jockey Club CarbonCare Open Innovation Lab (COIL) and work on sustainability challenges with other community stakeholders.
CityU has joined the International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN) and commits to set concrete targets on sustainable campus development and facilitates knowledge-exchange among the ISCN community and with the broader public.
A joint collaborative agreement has been signed between CityU and Arizona State University (ASU) on development of sustainability-related collaborative activities.
CityU joins hand with World Bank and over 200 institutional partners around the world in the Connect4Climate (C4C) knowledge partnership network.
CityU is a member of the Global Consortium for Sustainability Outcomes, a global network of universities, research institutes and corporations that advances solutions to sustainability problems through research, development and capacity building.
