Non-sugar Sweetener Derived from Beehive Waste Goolab Technology is one of the start-up company in HK Tech 300 Cohort 11, which has licensed an IP titled ‘Method of Converting an Organic Waste and Its Product and Use of the Product’ from Prof. Carol Lin’s research team. This invention promotes the development of non-sugar sweetener, namely ‘Freez Sugar’ from beehive waste for application in beverages. Also, it can provide a healthier alternative to refined sugar and artificial sweeteners while minimizing beekeeping waste generated when rotating hives, reducing impact and pressure on the natural environment. |
