With a dense population of more than 3,600 students, the Student Residence Office has been working closely with both students and the Government in promoting waste recycling at the halls. Recycle bins for metal, plastic, and paper are installed on every floor and in outdoor areas to encourage residents to think twice and recycle before they dispose their domestic items. Starting from 2015/16, SRO has collaborated with the Environmental Protection Department and installed 9 sets of glass recycling containers in the Student Residence. CityU and SRO were awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Environmental Protection Department for taking the initiatives! This delightful recognition is shared by all students living in our residence community!
