Sports facility named after Mr and Mrs Pang Hon-chiu

A luncheon and visit was held on 12 May to thank Mr and Mrs Tenny Pang Hon-chiu fortheir generous donation to City University of Hong Kong (CityU).

The luncheon was attended by Mr and Mrs Pang, Mr David Hui Yip-wing, Honorary Fellow and Distinguished Alumni of CityU, and his wife, Professor Matthew Lee Kwok-on, Vice-President (Development and External Relations), Professor Horace Ip Ho-shing, Vice-President (Student Affairs), Dr Tim Wong Chi-tim, Director of Student Development Services, Dr Raymond Chan Kwok-hong, Dean of Students, and Ms Kathy Chan Yin-ling, Associate Vice-President (Development and Alumni Relations).

The Physical Fitness Room Annex has been renamed as “Pang Hon Chiu Li Yuk Fong Physical Fitness Room” in appreciation of the couple’s generosity. Mr Pang is the Director ofFitter Sports Company Limited.

Mr and Mrs Pang’s donation will be used to support CityU’s strategic initiatives, establishing a Basketball and Soccer Fund, and sponsoring marathon activities.
