Dean Visits Mahidol University’s One Health Village Projects in Thailand
The Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences, Prof. Reichel, recently visited the Faculty of Veterinary Science at Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand. He was welcomed by the Dean, Associate Professor Parntep Ratanakron, and Associate Dean, Dr Sivapong Sungpradit, and was given a tour of the local facilities (hospital, laboratories and teaching facilities). The faculty has a strong focus on the One Health approach.

The Relationship Between the Free-Grazing Duck System and Avian Influenza Persistence in Vietnam
Prof. Dirk Pfeiffer (Chair Professor of One Health, CityU), led a team of researchers from the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) London, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the National Institute for Animal Sciences and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, in a study investigating avian influenza in free-grazing ducks in Vietnam.

The World Health Organization (WHO), World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) jointly held an expert workshop in Geneva, from 26 to 28 February 2018, to further advance the development of the Tripartite Zoonoses Guide (TZG) and discuss overarching issues and specific topics related to the TZG content.
