Two LLB student representatives were invited to join the CityU Employers’ Luncheon 2023

The CityU Employers’ Luncheon 2023 was held on 27 March at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

There were nearly 500 participants to join the Project Exhibition and the Luncheon, including representatives from Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited, CLP Power Hong Kong Ltd., New World Development Company Limited and Swire Properties Limited, etc.

More than 200 faculty members and students of CityU were invited to join the Luncheon. Ms LIU Blanche Bo Kay Eufrosina (Year 2 LLB Student) was nominated as a student representative to showcase her project on animal welfare, “Give a Little Love to our Furbuddies”, at the Project Exhibition. Eufrosina also won the Outstanding Service Awards for Tertiary Students 2021/2022 in Hong Kong.

Ms Tsoi Cheuk Ling (Year 3 LLB Student) was also nominated as a student representative to showcase her project, “9th LRC Reform Essay Competition 2022”, at the Project Exhibition. She was selected as one of the seven finalists of the Law Reform Essay Competition 2022. And the topic for the competition was: Should the law on labour protection for “gig workers” in Hong Kong be reformed? If so, why and how? If not, why not?

This Luncheon is an important platform for networking and interaction between CityU and industries, intending to strengthen connections and collaboration among CityU academics, students and enterprises. It also aims to showcase the students’ outstanding talent and achievements, enabling them to better understand the latest market needs and trends while laying the foundation for their future employment and entrepreneurship development.
