The Student Residence Office (SRO) launched the first-ever Hall Students’ Leadership trip with the Ocean University of China (OUC) in Qingdao between 18th and 24th May 2016.

This trip was led by Mr. Wilson Lam, Director of SRO and Dr. Ma Ka-fai, Residence Master of Alumni Civility Hall. Supported by the College of Liberal Arts, Journalism and Communication of OUC, 38 CityU students were accompanied by a group of enthusiastic OUC student volunteers and visited the Historical Gallery of OUC, Qingdao Municipal Museum as well as other scenic spots.

The trip also included several sessions of cultural exchange and a seminar on the scenery of Qingdao by OUC teacher Mr. Meng Gang. Participants from CityU attained deeper understanding of the rich culture of Qingdao and established valuable friendship with OUC student volunteers. After returning to Hong Kong, they are still in touch with the friends they met at OUC!
