Professor Hong Yan elected IEEE Fellow
Department of Electronic Engineering (EE) at City University of Hong Kong has been elected Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) for 2006 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to image recognition techniques and applications.

Among Professor Yan’s most prominent research interests are image reconstruction; handwriting recognition and document image analysis; human face image analysis and recognition; real-time lip-sync and facial animation for mobile entertainment; and DNA sequence and microarray data analysis.
