Inspired by the mid-autumn festival celebrating harvest and union, the CLASS Staff Common Room was launched after the first meeting of the College Board in the academic year. It provides a warming and pleasant space for staff to refresh and recharge, to connect with colleagues, and to support one another in moments of relaxation. The College Board members joined a delightful “Moonstruck tour” on 6 September 2017. The Common Room was formally open to CLASS full-time staff on the following day. Colleagues came together at lunchtime and enjoyed riddle games and received festive gifts. The open day ended with laughter and excitement, marking the beginning of another fruitful academic year.

Considerable efforts have been devoted by CLASS to infrastructure building. These facilities include the CLASS Focus Group Meeting Rooms, fitted with comfortable bean bag chairs to facilitate staff-student consultations; and the CLASS Interdisciplinary Multi-function Room, equipped with state-of-the-art conference equipment to support high-impact conferences, trainings and outreach events. Details and booking arrangements are available at the CLASS website (http://www.cityu.edu.hk/class/facilities.aspx).
