Global China Studies’ lecture, “China’s Rise and the Emerging World Order of the 21 Century” was delivered on 13 January 2016 by Professor Yun-Han CHU of National Taiwan University; Professor Chu is also President of The Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation of International Scholarly Exchange. Drawing on the current IR (International Relations) theories and his observations, Professor Chu discussed the following questions: Will China’s rise lead to wars? Will China’s rise lead to a breakdown of norms and institutions? He also elaborated on the emerging world order in the 21^st century from the perspective of China and the rise of the rest.
