Discovery Festival 2016 – DEC 2.0 exhibition
The 2016 CityU Discovery Festival was held from 1 to 4 February. It showcased the
University’s strengths in discovery and innovation, which are the centrepiece of its Discovery-enriched Curriculum (DEC). This year, the DEC 2.0 exhibition was held from 1 to 3 February, and marked a new phase in the development of the DEC, enabling both teachers and students to discover, innovate and integrate their ideas to propose real-world applications.

Outstanding projects from the Department of Linguistics and Translation and the Department of Applied Social Sciences were exhibited at the Discovery Festival. The former department offered linguistic teaching aids that help learners to learn and remember the International Phonetic Alphabet; the latter promoted the “Pet-Ba-Ma” application, which helps students to develop positive life values and better mental health.

The Discovery Festival showcased our teachers and students’ remarkable achievements, demonstrating their success in discovery and innovation.
