Stepping into the post-COVID era, one can resume normal life by freely having large-scale social gatherings. To strengthen the bonding among CLASS students and offer them stress relief and networking opportunities, the CLASS Student Chapter organised the New Year party on 26 January 2024. Participating students were thrilled and engaged in the three meticulously designed games–the ice-breaking, Charade, and photo hunt games.

During the ice-breaking game, a big group of participants were to memorise other players’ names without using any note-taking tools. Adapting the rules of the word chain game, the final player, under intense pressure, had to recall every name in the sequence correctly. Moving on to Charade, they were split into three teams and assigned two people from each group facing the TV to mimic the words shown. They attempted to deliver the meanings through hand gestures and given details. Everyone burst into laughter while making guesses because of the language differences and challenges in effectively conveying accurate information. Eventually, the language barrier was not a problem as they resorted to their mother tongue.

After indulging in a delightful pizza dinner, participants carried on the buzz with a calorie-burning photo hunt game. With a bingo sheet featuring several clues, they kicked off a quest to find the matching photos. Everyone exhibited excellent teamwork and lively interaction while learning fun facts about the campus.

Participating students expressed immense satisfaction and amusement from the party. They all were grateful for the efforts of the CLASS Student Chapter members, who ensured smooth execution and delivered high-quality games. They are full of anticipation towards similar events next time.
