Global China Studies hosted an International Workshop on Long Term Elderly Care on 14-15 July 2016. Experts and collaborators in the field of elderly care from Australia, Japan, Sweden, Taiwan and the US were invited to present key perspectives on, approaches to and problems encountered during elderly care in their respective regions.

The workshop gave the research team at CLASS the opportunity to compare important issues related to elderly care between societies. It concluded with a presentation of the key ideas underlying the study by Professor Xiaowei ZANG, the PI of a proposed Strategic Public Policy Research study. After the workshop, the international collaborators engaged in in-depth discussion to further refine the funding application.
