COM hosted admission talks and facility tours on CityU Undergraduate Information Day 2023

The Department of Media and Communication (COM) hosted two admission talks and arranged two facility tours during the CityU Undergraduate Information Day on 7 October. The admission talks were attended by over 170 participants who had fruitful discussions with the programme leaders.

The event commenced with a welcome speech by Prof. Christine Huang, the Head of the Department, addressing the prospective students. Prof. Fiona Nah and Prof. Kim Ki Joon, the programme leaders, then presented the two undergraduate programmes: Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communication (BAMDCM) and Bachelor of Arts in Digital Television and Broadcasting (BATVB).  Moreover, the COM alumni Mr. Kenny Yung, Ms. Tiffany Chiu, Ms. Kimmy Leung, Mr. Charles Wong, and Mr. Jay Ng shared with the audience their experiences and career journey through a video presentation.

Throughout the day, two facility tours were organised, allowing participants to explore COM’s facilities, including the omnimedia digital newsroom, advertising design and shooting studio, and 3D virtual TV studio.  Over 320 participants visited the department, gaining a better understanding of COM’s facilities and programme offerings.

The undergraduate programmes cater to students interested in various fields such as TV Journalism, New Media, Advertising, Public Relations, and Marketing.  For those who were unable to attend the admission talks on 7 October, detailed information about the two undergraduate programmes can be accessed on the following webpages:
