COM Research Seminar: Digital Health Technologies in Population Health Communication: Boon or Bane? by Dr. Edmund W.J. LEE

On October 17, 2023, Dr. Edmund W. J. Lee, Assistant Professor at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and Assistant Director at the Centre for Information Integrity and the Internet (IN-cube), held an online seminar titled "Digital Health Technologies in Population Health Communication: Boon or Bane? " During the seminar, Dr. Lee examined the rise of digital health technologies and their implications for health communication research. He highlighted the need to consider individuals' lived experiences in the deployment of these technologies, and shared various strategies for their use. He also discussed potential pitfalls and future opportunities in health communication research. The online seminar drew an audience of around forty-five participants, comprising faculty members, PhD students, and scholars from different disciplines.
